The PartyPad Admin app

What the PartyPad Admin mobile app does for owners and office staff, who can sign in, and how it differs from the crew app.

PartyPad Admin is the phone app for owners and office staff. It covers what you need away from the desk: today's events, the task board, where your crews are, and the completions waiting on you. Your crew uses a different app, the crew app.

Getting it

PartyPad Admin is not publicly listed on the App Store or Google Play yet. Until it is, use the web dashboard in your phone's browser. This article describes the app as it ships.

Who can sign in

Sign in with the same email and password you use on the web dashboard. The app accepts staff accounts: Tenant Admin, Task Manager, Billing Admin and Viewer. What you see follows your role, the same as on the web. A tab you have no access to is hidden.

A contractor-only account is signed out and told it belongs in the crew app. If you should have admin access, ask an admin at your company to add a staff role to your account under Team. See Roles and permissions.

After the first sign-in the app offers biometric sign-in, so you open it with Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint instead of your password.

The tabs

  • Dashboard: today's events and your open tasks, with a count of tasks nobody is on yet, and a banner when completions are waiting for approval.
  • Events: your orders, searchable by event or customer and filtered by status. Tap one to see the customer, schedule, location, rentals and money, plus the tasks attached to it.
  • Tasks: the task board, filtered by status, with an Unassigned only switch.
  • Crew Map: where your crews are right now, for anyone sharing location from the crew app. See Live crew map.
  • More: your account, team, billing, organization settings and support.

What you can do from it

Change an order's status

On an event, use Change event status and confirm. Confirming an order from the app starts task generation; the app tells you "Event confirmed. Tasks are being generated." On the Free plan no tasks are generated; see How tasks are generated. Cancelling an order cancels its open tasks, and the app tells you how many.

You can call or text the customer from the event screen.

Handle a task

Open a task to see its details, then:

  • Assign a contractor, or remove one,
  • Approve or Reject a completed task. A rejection asks you to tell the contractor what needs putting right, and they're notified,
  • Cancel task, which notifies the contractor and closes it.

Clear approvals

More > Pending Approvals lists every completed task waiting on you. Approve or reject each one from the list.

Team, billing and settings

Under More:

  • Team Members lists your office staff. You can contact them, deactivate or reactivate a member, and revoke a pending invitation.
  • Invite Contractor sends your field crew an invitation link or code.
  • Billing shows your plan, status, limits and included features.
  • Organization Settings shows your company details and seat usage.

Bigger setup work, like inventory, automation, your booking page and integrations, stays on the web dashboard.

Notifications

The app can send you push notifications, including when a customer pays for a booking on your booking page. Tapping one opens that booking.
