The crew app

How your contractors get the PartyPad crew app, join your company, get approved, and sign in.

Your crew works from the PartyPad Contractor app on their phones. It's where they see open tasks, accept or claim work, get directions, and mark jobs done. This page covers how a contractor gets from your invitation to their first task.

Get the app

Get it from your phone's store:

The public download page at gopartypad.com/download links both.

Invite your crew

Start on Contractors and click Invite Contractor. You have three ways to send it:

  • Email: PartyPad emails the invitation to the address you enter.
  • Link: a link you share any way you like, by text or a group chat. It comes with a QR code.
  • Code: a 6-character code the contractor types into the app.

Links and codes have an Expires In setting and a Maximum Uses count, so one link can cover a whole hiring day. Invite and manage contractors has the details.

What the contractor does

  1. They open the invitation link. The page says they've been invited to join your company and offers Download PartyPad App.
  2. In the app, they tap Create Account.
  3. Under Join your company, they enter your Company ID, paste the Invite Link, or enter the 6-character code.
  4. They fill in their name, email, phone and a password. The password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.
  5. They verify their email from the link PartyPad sends. Until they do, the app won't let them sign in.
  6. They wait for your approval.

Your Company ID is the URL Slug shown under Settings, Organization. A contractor with neither a link nor a code can join with it.

Approve them

A new sign-up lands on Contractors with the status Pending Approval. They can sign in, but they can't claim or accept work until you approve them. Open their details and click Approve, or Reject with a reason.

Before you approve, check their skills. A task that requires a skill, such as Driver, only goes to contractors who hold it.

Signing in

Contractors sign in with the email and password they registered with. After the first sign-in, the app offers biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID or the phone's fingerprint reader) so they don't type the password every time. Skip for Now leaves it off. Forgot? on the sign-in screen sends a password reset link.

If someone signs in to the crew app with an office account, the app tells them it's the contractor app and points them to the PartyPad dashboard. Office staff use the web dashboard or the PartyPad Admin app.

When it doesn't work

  • "Please verify your email address": they haven't clicked the verification link. The sign-in screen offers Resend Email.
  • "Company Not Found": the Company ID was mistyped. Send them a link or code instead.
  • The invitation page says it's invalid: it expired, was revoked, or hit its maximum uses. Create a new one.
  • They're signed in but see no work: they're still Pending Approval, or no open task matches their skills.
