Invite and manage contractors
Invite crew to the PartyPad crew app, approve or reject them, set their skills, and suspend or reinstate them.
Contractors are your field crew: the drivers, setup hands and riders who work tasks from the PartyPad crew app. The Contractors page is where you bring them in, approve them, and keep track of how they're doing.
Invite a contractor
Click Invite Contractor and pick how to send it:
- Email: enter a Recipient Name and Email Address, add an optional Custom Message, then Send Invitation.
- Link: set Expires In (1 to 30 days) and Maximum Uses (1 to 100), then Generate Link and share it however you like.
- Code: the same options, producing a 6-character code. You also get a QR code to print or post; Download QR saves it. Contractors scan it to download the app and join.
A link or code with several uses works well for a hiring day or a group text. For what the contractor sees on their side, see The crew app.
Approve new contractors
A new contractor lands in Pending Approval. They can't claim or accept work until you approve them.
- Set the status filter to Pending Approval.
- Click View Details to check their contact details and profile.
- Click Approve, or Reject and enter a reason.
A rejected contractor can be moved back to the approval queue with Reconsider.
Find a contractor
The list shows Approved contractors by default. Change the status filter to see Pending Approval, Rejected, Suspended or All Statuses. The paperwork filter shows who has or hasn't signed their required documents, and the search box matches name, email or business name.
A Live or GPS active marker on a row means that contractor is reporting their position right now. Live Tracking at the top of the page shows everyone who is, and Service Area Map shows where each contractor is willing to work.
Contractor details
View Details opens everything about one contractor:
- contact information and emergency contact,
- performance metrics: average rating, completion rate, on-time rate and earnings,
- availability schedule and recent tasks,
- payment preferences, such as their CashApp or PayPal handle,
- Onboarding Paperwork: what they've signed and what's outstanding, with Send reminder. See Contractor paperwork.
Skills
Skills decide which tasks a contractor can take. A task that requires the Driver skill only goes to contractors who hold it, and a ridealong slot needs the Rider skill. Tick the contractor's skills and click Save Skills. The skill list itself is managed on the Skills tab under Automation.
Suspend and reinstate
For an approved contractor:
- Suspend 24h takes them off work for a day and reinstates them on its own.
- Suspend takes them off work until you reinstate them.
A suspended contractor can't claim tasks. Click Reinstate to put them back to work.
Inactivity
PartyPad watches for contractors who stop signing in. After 25 days without a sign-in, the contractor gets a warning email. After 30 days they're suspended automatically. Their details show Approaching Inactivity from day 23 and Contractor Inactive from day 30, so you can reach out first. Reinstate them the same way if they're coming back.
Who can use this page
