Set up your booking page

Turn on your online booking page, set deposits, sales tax, delivery zips, hours and blackout dates, and get the link to share.

Your booking page is a public page at gopartypad.com/book/<your-business> where customers pick dates, times and rentals and pay online. Every setting for it lives under Booking Page in the left-hand menu.

Before you turn it on

The Accept online bookings switch stays locked until three things are in place:

  1. Stripe is connected. Payments go to your own Stripe account. Connect it in the Online payments card at the top of the page. See Online payments with Stripe.
  2. At least one rental is published. In Inventory, turn on Show on booking page for the items customers can book. See Inventory.
  3. Your sales tax rate is confirmed. Enter your rate under Payment at booking, or 0 if you don't charge tax. Saving the rate is what confirms it. Until you do, PartyPad won't let the page go live, so nobody is charged a default rate by mistake.

Your PartyPad subscription also has to be active. A lapsed account stops taking online bookings.

Turn it on

  1. Turn on Accept online bookings.
  2. Select Save at the bottom of the page.

Once saved, the Booking page card shows your link with Copy and Open booking page buttons, a QR code for flyers and trailers, and code to put the page on your own website. See Put the booking page on your website.

The card also shows how many rentals are on your booking page. Enter Your website so customers get a link back to your site after they pay or cancel.

Payment at booking

  • Full payment: the customer pays the whole order at checkout.
  • Percentage deposit: the customer pays a percentage (1 to 100) now and the rest later.
  • Fixed deposit: the customer pays a set dollar amount now, at least $1.

Minimum order ($) refuses carts below that amount. Sales tax rate (%) accepts 0 to 20, up to three decimals, for example 8.25.

Delivery area

Add each zip you serve with its delivery fee: type the Zip and Fee ($) and select Add zip, or paste a list with one "zip, fee" per line.

With Refuse zips that are not in the table on, customers outside your list can't book. Turn it off to accept every zip and charge Delivery fee for other zips ($) for the ones not listed. If refusal is on, the table needs at least one zip before the page can go live.

Scheduling

  • Lead time (hours): how far ahead a booking must be made, 0 to 720.
  • Max rental days: the longest rental a customer can book, 1 to 14.
  • Max bookings per day: leave blank for no limit.
  • Crews start and Crews finish: the hours customers can choose from. Customers pick a one-hour delivery time and a one-hour pickup time between them.
  • Crews (stops per hour): how many deliveries and pickups you can run in the same hour. An hour is full once it holds that many stops, counting every order you have, not only online ones.
  • Blackout dates: pick a date and select Add to close it to online booking.

Customer messages and follow-up emails

Rental terms are shown at checkout and the customer must accept them. The Confirmation message appears after they book.

Customers always get a reminder email the day before delivery. Under Follow-up emails you can also:

  • email a balance link a set number of days before delivery, for bookings paid with a deposit (0 turns it off),
  • send one "finish your booking" email when someone leaves checkout without paying,
  • email the customer when the crew is on the way, when the rentals are set up, and a thank-you after pickup,
  • add a Review link to that thank-you email.

Select Save after any change.

Last 30 days

Once the first customer starts a checkout, a card at the top of the page shows Bookings, Collected, Abandoned and Conversion for the last 30 days.

If the page isn't working the way you expect, see My booking page isn't showing.
