PartyPad for Contractors mobile app collects additional data to provide location-based services and secure authentication.
What We Collect
The mobile app collects your precise location data (GPS coordinates) when you use the app to:
- Show nearby party setup and teardown tasks
- Calculate distance to job sites
- Provide turn-by-turn navigation
- Verify task completion at correct locations
When We Collect It
Location data is only collected when the app is in use (foreground). We do NOT collect background location data.
How to Control It
You can disable location services in your device settings at any time. Note that this will limit task discovery and navigation features.
Camera Access
The app requests camera access to:
- Take photos of completed tasks
- Document work quality for verification
- Provide proof of task completion
Photo Library Access
Access to your photo library allows you to:
- Select existing photos to document work
- Save completion photos to your device
Photo Storage & Usage
Photos are uploaded to our secure servers and associated with task records. They may be viewed by event rental companies to verify work completion. Photos are retained as part of your work history.
Face ID & Touch ID
The app uses your device's biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) to:
- Provide quick and secure login
- Verify your identity for sensitive actions
- Protect your contractor account
Data Storage
Important: Biometric data (face scan, fingerprint) is stored locally on your device only and is NEVER uploaded to our servers. We only receive confirmation that authentication was successful or failed.
Optional Feature
Biometric authentication is optional. You can enable or disable it in the app's security settings at any time.
What We Send
The app sends push notifications to inform you about:
- New task assignments in your area
- Schedule changes and updates
