Plans and billing

What the Free and Professional plans include, how to upgrade or downgrade, and where to manage your card, billing address and invoices.

Billing is where you see your PartyPad plan, change it, and manage the card PartyPad charges. PartyPad charges a flat subscription. It takes no commission or revenue share on your bookings, on any plan.

The plans

Free covers the daily operation:

  • unlimited tasks and scheduling,
  • customers, inventory and orders,
  • contractors and dispatch,
  • your online booking page,
  • up to 25 team members.

Professional adds:

Menu items that need Professional show a lock while you're on Free.

Enterprise is for multi-location operators and is arranged with sales. Its card shows Contact Sales.

Current prices are shown on each plan's card when you select Upgrade Plan. Sales tax is added where it applies.

New accounts start with a free Professional trial. See The Professional trial.

Your current subscription

The Current Subscription card shows:

  • your plan and its status badge (active when everything is in order),
  • your Next Billing Date, or, during a trial, when the trial ends,
  • Usage This Period: tasks completed against your plan's limit.

Only people whose role can manage billing see this page. Usually that's the account owner.

Upgrade to Professional

  1. Add a card first. Select Update Payment Method, then Add New Payment Method.
  2. Make sure your billing address is filled in. Open Billing Settings and complete Billing Address. Stripe needs it to work out sales tax, and an upgrade can fail without it.
  3. Select Upgrade Plan, then Upgrade to Professional on the Professional card.

Upgrades take effect right away. You're billed monthly, and the first charge is prorated for the rest of the current billing period.

Downgrade to Free

Select Upgrade Plan, then Downgrade to Free. Future charges stop. You keep Professional features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account moves to Free. Your data stays where it is. Features that need Professional lock again.

Professional for life

When PartyPad is offering it, the plan picker shows Professional, for life: one payment that keeps every Professional feature permanently, with no monthly bill. Select Buy Lifetime to pay through Stripe's checkout. If you're on a paid monthly plan, it's cancelled at the end of the period you've already paid for. Once you hold it, the picker says so.

Card, address and invoices

From Billing Actions:

  • Update Payment Method adds, removes or changes the default card PartyPad charges.
  • Download Invoices and Billing History list your PartyPad invoices and payments.
  • Billing Settings holds your Billing Address, invoice and payment preferences, billing contact, and which billing emails you get.

These are PartyPad's charges to you. Money your customers pay on your booking page goes to your own Stripe account, not through this page. See Online payments with Stripe.

If a payment fails

If a card is declined, the message tells you why. Update the card under Update Payment Method and try again. If your subscription stops being active, your booking page stops taking online bookings until it's fixed.
