The Professional trial
New accounts get Professional free for 7 days with no card required. Here's what's included, how to keep it, and what happens when it ends.
Every new PartyPad account starts on the Professional plan for free, normally for 7 days. You don't enter a card to start it, and nothing is charged during it or when it ends.
What you get
For the length of the trial your account is on Professional, with every Professional feature unlocked:
- Reports and advanced analytics,
- QuickBooks Online sync,
- Automation task templates,
- Webhooks and API access,
- uploading your own contractor paperwork,
- unlimited team members.
Use the week to set these up against your real business: connect QuickBooks, build a task template for your most common setup, and run a report on your first orders.
Keeping track of time
While the trial runs:
- A bar across the top of the dashboard shows how long is left, counting down in days and then in hours on the last day. Its Upgrade now button opens Billing.
- On Billing, the Current Subscription card shows Free Trial and the date the trial ends, in place of a next billing date.
- PartyPad emails you reminders as the end date gets close, and again when the trial ends.
Keep Professional
To stay on Professional without a break, subscribe before the trial ends:
- On Billing, select Update Payment Method and add a card.
- Open Billing Settings and fill in your Billing Address. Stripe needs it to calculate sales tax.
- Select Upgrade Plan. On the Professional card, select Keep Professional.
Your features carry on uninterrupted, and monthly billing starts from that point. The Plans and billing article covers pricing, proration and the lifetime option.
If the trial has already ended, select Upgrade Plan and choose Professional the same way.
When the trial ends
If you haven't subscribed, your account moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is charged, because no card was ever required.
On Free:
- Everything you've entered stays: orders, tasks, customers, inventory, contractors and settings.
- The Professional features listed above lock until you upgrade. Their menu items show a lock.
- Your team, crew app, dispatch and online booking page keep working. Free allows up to 25 team members.
You can upgrade to Professional at any time after that, from Upgrade Plan on Billing.
One trial per business
The trial is granted once per email address. Signing up again with the same address, or a variation of it such as a Gmail address with extra dots or a + tag, creates an account on Free without a trial.
Some promotions offer a longer trial. When yours is one of them, the countdown bar says you're on an extended Professional trial, and everything else in this article applies the same way.
