Data and privacy
Where to export your data, who can see what, how to close your account, and how to handle data requests.
Your customer list, your orders and your crew's work records belong to your business. This article covers how to get data out of PartyPad, and how to close your account.
Exporting your data
Use the exports that work today:
Customers
- Go to Customers and click Export Customers.
- The dialog shows what will be exported: all customers, or only those matching your current search and type filter. Clear the filters first if you want everyone.
- Choose CSV (Spreadsheet) to open the file in Excel or Google Sheets or import it somewhere else, or PDF (Document) for a printable list.
- Click Export CSV or Export PDF.
Mileage
On the Professional plan, go to Reports, open Mileage, set the date range and filters, and click Export CSV. This is the file your accountant wants at tax time. See Reports.
Invoices
If you use QuickBooks Online, your invoices and customers are also in QuickBooks, and QuickBooks has its own exports. See QuickBooks Online.
For anything else you need out of PartyPad, contact support from the bottom of this article and say what you need.
Who can see what
Every query in PartyPad is scoped to your account. Other PartyPad businesses can't see your customers, orders or crew, and you can't see theirs.
Inside your account, roles decide who sees what. Each person only gets what their role allows. Review roles on Team. See Roles and permissions.
Closing your account
The account owner can close the whole account from Organization, under Danger Zone, with Close account. You type the organization name to confirm. Billing is cancelled, everyone is signed out, and nobody on the account can sign in afterwards. Your records are kept so support can reopen the account. See Business settings.
Removing one person is different. Use Remove Member on Team for office staff, and manage crew on Contractors.
Requests from customers or crew
If a customer asks what you hold about them, look them up on Customers and export or print their record. If they ask you to delete it, use Delete Customer on their record. This can't be undone.
Anyone using the PartyPad Admin app can request deletion of their own login. The steps are at https://gopartypad.com/account-deletion. Deleting one login doesn't close your organization.
