I can't sign in

Find out why the dashboard won't let you in, from an unverified email to a forgotten password or a paused subscription, and what fixes each one.

When sign-in fails, the message on the sign-in page tells you which check stopped you. Find the message below and follow the fix.

How sign-in works

PartyPad signs you in in two steps. First it looks up which company your email address belongs to. Then it checks your password against that company's account, makes sure your email is verified, and makes sure the company's subscription is active. A problem at any step stops the sign-in.

This article is for the web dashboard. Crew members sign in on the crew app instead. See The PartyPad crew app.

"No account found with this email address"

PartyPad couldn't find any account with that email.

  • Check the address for typos, and try the one your invitation or welcome email was sent to.
  • If a teammate invited you, open the link in your invitation email first. It sets up your login.
  • If your company has never signed up, click Sign up to create an account.

"Invalid credentials"

The email was found, but the sign-in didn't go through. Usually the password is wrong.

  1. Click Forgot your password? and enter your email.
  2. Open the reset email and click the link within 15 minutes. Check your spam folder if it isn't in your inbox.
  3. Enter a New Password of at least 8 characters, confirm it, and click Reset password.

If the page says Invalid Reset Link, the link expired or was already used. Click Request New Reset Link and use the newest email.

The same message appears if an admin removed you from the team. If a reset doesn't help, ask your account owner whether your login is still active on Team.

"Your email address hasn't been verified yet"

You have to verify your email before your first sign-in. A yellow box appears under the sign-in form.

  1. Click Resend verification email. You can send another after 60 seconds.
  2. Open the newest email and click the link. Verification links last 24 hours. If you click an expired one, PartyPad sends you a fresh link automatically.
  3. Come back and sign in.

If nothing arrives, check spam and any filters that move mail from new senders.

"This account uses Google Sign-In"

Your login was set up with Google, so it has no password. Click Continue with Google on the sign-in page instead.

If you click Continue with Google and see No account for that Google address, that Google address doesn't match any PartyPad login. Sign in with your email and password instead, or use the Google account whose address matches your login.

"Subscription suspended"

Your company's subscription isn't active, so nobody on the account can sign in. A red box appears with Contact support to reactivate. Your account owner should contact support to sort out the plan.

"This PartyPad workspace was closed"

Your company's account was closed with Close account in Settings. Click Contact support to reopen it.

"Too many requests. Please try again later."

Several sign-in attempts in a short time from one network trip a limit that protects accounts from password guessing. Wait 15 minutes and try again. Shared office or event Wi-Fi counts every device on it together.

Still stuck
