Security and sign-in
How signing in works, how to change your password, signing out everywhere, and what your profile shows.
Your account is your email address and password. This article covers how sign-in works, how to change your password, and what you can see and edit on your profile.
How sign-in works
On the sign-in page, enter your email and password and click Sign in. PartyPad finds your company from your email address, so there is no company code to type.
- Tick Remember me for 30 days on a computer only you use.
- If Continue with Google appears, you can use it instead of a password. It works only when your Google address matches the email on your PartyPad account.
- Your email address has to be verified before you can sign in. New accounts get a verification link by email.
If sign-in fails, see I can't sign in.
Changing your password
There is no change-password form inside the dashboard. Use the reset flow instead:
- Sign out, then click Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
- Enter your email address. PartyPad emails you a reset link.
- Open the link within 15 minutes, enter a New Password of at least 8 characters, enter it again under Confirm Password, and click Reset password.
Resetting your password signs you out on every device. Sign in again with the new password.
Signing out
Open the menu under your name at the top of the dashboard and click Log out. This signs you out on every device you were signed in on, not only the one in front of you. Do it if you lose a phone or laptop that was signed in.
Your profile
Open Profile from the same menu.
Personal Information
Click Edit to change your First Name, Last Name and Phone Number, then Save Changes. Your Email Address can't be changed, because it is what you sign in with.
Account Information
Read-only details about your login: Account Status (Active or Inactive), Email Verification (Verified or Unverified), Account Created and Last Login. If the last sign-in time looks wrong to you, change your password.
Organization & Roles
Shows your organization, its subscription plan, Your Roles and a Permissions Summary. Roles decide which menu items and actions you have. Only the account owner or another admin can change them, from Team. See Roles and permissions.
Keeping the account safe
- Give every person their own login from Team instead of sharing yours. Each person gets only the role they need.
- When someone leaves, use Remove Member on Team the same day.
- Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
